11	Beginner Blacksmithing Class - at Chestnut Forge 3510 Charleston Rd, Norman, OK 73069. Blue Leaf Forge and Chestnut Forge have you all set to learn basic forge, hammer, and anvil safety along with texturing, twisting, and metal finishing techniques and you will be making a Make your own candle holder and a flint striker. Class is from 9:30am - 5:30pm. Lunch break from 12:00-1:30, not provided but plenty of nearby options. A current SCABA membership is required for insurance purposes. Please bring eye and ear protection (can be provided for a small fee), closed toed shoes,and appropriately safe clothing (cotton, denim, or other natural materials that do not melt).
