  • Date: May 19, 2018
    From: Corina Cox

"Last Fall, I spoke with a group who were at the Tulsa Scottish Festival and they gave me the website, so that I could contact someone about attending the Scottish Festival that we are starting in Chanute, KS on May 19th. We thought it would be neat to have some smiths there, showing off their craft. This is one of my favorite things to watch. We would not charge a fee, if there is anyone who would like to set up and if they would like to sale things they made, that would be permitted. Our Festival will be from 9-4. This is our 2nd year and we are building the Festival around the success from the games that started last year. If you have anyone that might be interested, they can contact me at this email."

    - AC Art & Music Crawl

    From: Paisley Howerton
"I was asked to contact someone from Saltfork by a local business owner, and one of your members, from our community up here in Arkansas City. I am on the committee for our Chamber of Commerce's event, The 5th Thursday AC Art & Music Crawl. This is our second year putting on this event, and our next Art Crawl in May has great potential. We are working toward blocking off at least one block downtown to create more of a festival feel, and up the community involvement even more. To get right to the point, Darrin Green at Double Eagle Firearms & Pawn would love to have a blacksmith showcase his or her work at his business. I was hoping you could reach out to someone who might be able to come and set up at this event! The next event is May 31st, from 4-7:30 p.m. and it is free to the public. Please let me know if this is a possibility.
    Thanks!

  • Date: OCTOBER 13, 14, 2018 - Heavener Runestone Viking Festival
    From: Bill Kendall
I Just received a call from an Amanda wanting to line up demonstrator(s) for the Heavener Runestone Viking Festival on October 13 and 14. Amanda is the park coordinator for the festival. They have two a year. One in April and one in October. Obviously she is looking to book someone for October. They have a budget to help pay expenses. She wanted to know what we demonstrate and I told her that we all do it differently. They have a picnic area that is covered and has a low stone wall around it. Cover and crowd control all in one. Facebook page showing last year. (Heavener Runestone Park) I would like people to contact me (Bill Kendall) as I told her that I would call her back. My phone is 918-691-2173.
